Come home to yourself. this is where your healing begins.
Hi, I’m Kris. I’m really glad you’re here.
If you’re anything like I was at the beginning of my own healing journey, you might feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure where to even begin.
Let’s be real...life is messy. And let me just say, you don’t have to “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” or do it all alone. I have learned that healing doesn’t happen by resisting, avoiding, minimizing, perfecting, or pushing our feelings down. Healing can only happen when we get present, slow down, be curious, and listen to what our story—and our body—has been trying to tell us all along.
“What we resist will persist. And we will continue to repeat what we do not repair.”
— a truth I’ve lived, and one I now help others move through.
I’m a licensed therapist, but more importantly—I’ve been in the trenches too. As a single mom navigating deep heartbreak, unlearning codependency, and confronting the roots of my own patterns, I’ve done the work of coming home to myself. This journey is a life journey and has changed everything for me. And it’s what led me to create Transformations Counseling.
Here, my approach is simple:
I create a safe, nurturing space where you can feel seen, supported, and begin to reconnect with the truest parts of yourself—mind, body, and spirit. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s beneath the symptoms—anxiety, panic attacks, complex or C-PTSD, relationship issues, people pleasing, perfectionism, codependency, spiritual abuse—and uncover the stories and attachment wounds that shaped them.
We’ll work with evidence-based approaches like EMDR, Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment styles and inner child reparenting practices to help your nervous system find balance and your heart find clarity. This is sacred holistic work—soulful, grounded, and centered around your personal healing and growth.
You are not broken. You are human.
Your story matters. And you are inherently hardwired for healing.
“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty."
You already carry wisdom within you. Sometimes you just need someone to help you access it—and walk with you as you do. Whether you’re at the beginning of your healing journey or somewhere in the messy middle—welcome. You don’t have to do it alone.
Let’s take the next step together. I’d love for you to get to know a bit more about me, the work I do, and how I show up in this space.
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps your brain process traumatic memories so they no longer feel stuck on repeat. It supports nervous system healing and helps you move out of survival mode and into restoration.
What is Somatic Experiencing?
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based therapy that helps release stored tension and re-regulate the nervous system. It’s especially helpful if trauma or stress has left you feeling disconnected or overwhelmed.
What is Post Induction Therapy?
Post Induction Therapy (PIT) helps heal early attachment wounds and developmental trauma that shaped your sense of self. It’s powerful work for those dealing with codependency, shame, or feeling “not enough.”
What is Internal Family Systems?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps you understand and heal the different “parts” of yourself—like the anxious one, the people-pleaser, or the inner critic. It’s a gentle, empowering way to reconnect with your true self.
What is Therapy Dog Support?
Charlie, my trained therapy dog, brings a calming and supportive presence into sessions. His gentle energy helps ease anxiety, regulate the nervous system, and offer comfort—especially during trauma or emotionally heavy work.
